Turner syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by a complete or partial aneuploidy of the X chromosome that manifests clinically in females. It is characterized by a number of physical, hormonal, and mental features, such as short stature, absence of menstruation, abnormalities in the development of the genitals, and some medical problems, including cardiovascular abnormalities. The disease is usually diagnosed in childhood or adolescence, but its manifestations may not be apparent until later in life. Errors in chromosome division result in the absence of one of the two X chromosomes, which affects many biological processes and affects the development of patients throughout their lives.<\/p>\n
