Rat-bite fever (or rat-bite fever) is a zoonotic infectious disease associated with transmission by Borrelia subclass and Leptospira fungi. The main source of infection are rats and other rodents, and the main routes of transmission are bites, contact with infected skin and excreta of animals. The incubation period of the disease ranges from several days to two weeks. The main clinical manifestations include fever, myalgia, headache, rash, and lymphatic system involvement. A serious complication may be secondary infection, which requires long-term treatment and close medical supervision.<\/p>\n
