Polymorphic light eruption (PLE) is a dermatological disorder characterized by the development of skin rashes in response to sunlight. Clinically, PLE manifests itself as various types of erythematous elements, which may be accompanied by itching and discomfort. Typically, the rash occurs in areas exposed to sunlight, such as the face, neck, hands, and d\u00e9collet\u00e9. PLE is most often observed in women aged 20 to 50 years, although it can also occur in men, as well as in people of different ages and ethnicities. This disease is characterized by the possibility of relapses, which often occur in the spring and summer, when the level of solar activity increases.<\/p>\n
