Kikuchi disease, or Kikuchi syndrome, is a rare disorder characterized by acute lymphadenitis, fever, and general symptoms of a systemic inflammatory response. The first cases were reported in Japan, and the disease is currently most common in Asian countries. The disease is diagnosable, but its etiology and mechanisms of development are not fully understood. In recent years, the disease has attracted the attention of doctors due to its similarity to other systemic diseases, such as Steve-Johnson syndrome and lymphoma, which makes diagnosis difficult. Despite its rarity, Kikuchi syndrome requires careful attention and a deep understanding from doctors of various specialties to correctly identify and safely treat this disease.<\/p>\n
