Glossitis is an inflammatory disease of the tongue characterized by changes in its structure and surface, which may manifest as swelling, pain, changes in color and texture of the left membrane. This condition can be either acute or chronic, depending on the etiology and antecedent factors. Glossitis can be an isolated process or part of a more extensive syndrome affecting other mucous membranes of the mouth or the body as a whole. The main clinical manifestations of glossitis are pain, burning, difficulty swallowing, and altered sensitivity of the tongue. These symptoms can significantly reduce the quality of life and require appropriate medical evaluation and treatment.<\/p>\n
